I was born in Germany and started my career as a photographer.

 

After a few years, I wanted to evolve and tell stories not only in photos but moving pictures. So, I studied director of photography and directing at one of Germany’s most highly regarded film academies, the Film University Babelsberg  Konrad Wolf where I graduated with an honors degree and won the German Camera Award for best cinematography for my graduation film TRANSPORT. It went all the way to the Berlinale Filmfestival and won the US Kodak Cinematographic Award at Palm Springs Filmfest, USA. 

 

After university I started shooting commercials and was lucky to meet some creative guys who gave me the opportunity to create some of the most unique pieces in the history of commercials with them, e.g. Renault „Crashtest“, Renault “Ballett“, Runnerspoint „Faster“, Volkswagen „Spoonful“ etc.

 

The commercials we shot won a vast number of national and international awards including:
